Assoc. Prof. Rafał Kozłowski, PhD, D. Sc., Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce

Geographer, interested in environmental monitoring, impact of air pollution on selected elements of natural environment (soil, air, water, forests), water quality in different morphoclimatic zones, bioindication, as well as transformation (quantity and quality) of precipitation in forests.

Author of numerous articles in the field of Earth and environmental sciences. Leader and participant of four projects funded by the National Science Centre/State Committee for Scientific Research. Took part in several scientific expeditions (e.g. Africa, South America, Australia, Asia).

Head of a Base Station of the Integrated Monitoring of the Natural Environment, conducting research for the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection in Poland and the International Cooperative Programme on Integrated Monitoring of Air Pollution Effects on Ecosystems (ICP IM) in Europe.

Head of the Laboratory of Environmental Studies in the Centre for Research and Analysis, Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce (Accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation No. AB1622 for measuring concentration of gases and particulate matter in ambient air).

Leader of over 20 projects commissioned by socio-economic environment, including General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways and Polish Nuclear Power Plants, in the scope of environmental impact assessment.

Supervisor of two doctoral dissertations in the discipline of Earth and environmental sciences.
